WPT Global Spring Festival Offers Chance to Become a WPT Champion

wpt global, real money poker

Four players will win the opportunity to add their name to the WPT Mike Sexton Champions Cup this May. And while three of those champions will be required to traverse North America for a chance to write their names in the history books in major live events, the first ever Wpt Global Spring Championship winner will be able to do so online without having to step away from their computer.

For the third time ever, a WPT Main Tour champion will be crowned on the WPTGlobal.com. Beginning on May 19, starting sessions for the $3,500 buy-in WPT Championship event will run on Wpt Global , with the starting flights combining to play out on Sunday, May 26 for a chance at the $1 million guaranteed prize pool. The winner will punch their ticket to the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December as a $10,400 seat is part of their prize package.

The $3,500 WPT Championship event is the culmination of three weeks of action in the Wpt Global Spring Festival, which also features a $1,060 WPT Prime Championship. That event carries a $750,000 guaranteed prize pool and ongoing starting flights through Saturday, May 18 – combining Sunday, May 19 for Day 2. The WPT Prime champion during the WPT Global Spring Championship Festival will also win a $10,400 WPT World Championship seat.

While playing for millions in those two major events and a multitude of other multi-flight tournaments, including a $220 buy-in, $500,000 guaranteed Spring Festival championship that has starting flights running all the way through May 26, each player who participates will also be vying for a chance at several different Bonus prizes for their performance.

The top 500 qualifiers in the Player of the Festival race win additional prizes, with the top three finishers each winning a $12,400 WPT Passport package to the WPT World Championship.

Additionally, every penny of rake collected during the WPT Global Spring Festival, from the WPT Main Tour Championship down to the smallest qualifiers and satellites, will be returned to players in one of several paths. $100,000 goes towards the Spring Festival leaderboard prizes, $50,000 towards a Champion of Champions freeroll, in which everyone who won an MTT during the festival gets to play for an additional $12,400 WPT Passport among other prizes, and the rest will be split between three tiers of freerolls, depending on total number of events played and money spent on buy-ins.

Two players have already won their way onto the WPT Champions Cup via major WPT Global championship events. Kayhan Mokri of Norway claimed the title during the WPT Global Fall Festival Championship, adding to a growingly impressive list of career accomplishments. And earlier this year, Sven Joakim Andersson of Sweden also added his name to the WPT Champions Club by winning the WPT Global Winter Festival Championship – becoming one of the first players to qualify for the Season XXII WPT World Championship.
