Two Flights Down, One to Go!

The second flight of the main came to an end and only 49 players remained in Day 1B of Event #16: No Limit Holdem Main Event. Compared to the previous day’s small field, this day was a breath of fresh air with about double the entrants and plenty of excellent players.

When the dust settled, some familiar faces found a bag. Pro Anthony Hu bagged 224,000, fresh off another second-place finish in the High Roller. Jeremy Becker bagged 187,000, POKER vlogger extraordinaire Brad Owen bagged 62,000, two-time bracelet winner Eric Baldwin bagged 219,000, and Scott Ball bagged big with a stack of 264,000. Owen Satran is the chip leader of this flight with with 325,000. However, there is still a whole flight left to be played, so anyone could come out on top.

In total, 237 players fired in Flight 1B and lots of great players bagged but unfortunately not everyone could. Some big names like bracelet winner Mike Holtz, long-time pro Matt Affleck, pro Christina Gollins, and last years WSOPc Las Vegas main winner Bin Weng came but did not find a bag. All of them will have one last shot in Flight 1c to see if they can bag.

Top Five Stacks From the Second Flight:

1 Owen Satran 325,000
2 Farzad Tafti 299,000
3 Terry Fleischer 296,000
4 Robert Zeidman 273,000
5 Scott Ball 264,000

$359,055 was carried over to the overall prize pool in this first flight. The Main Event sports a $500,000 guarantee and first place will likely be over a quarter Milly.

Players can still take their shot at Day 1 on Sunday at 10 a.m. with Day 2 taking place at 12 p.m. on Monday.
