Today is Day 1b of the $1,700 Main Event!


Welcome to Day 1b of the $1,700 Main Event at the World Series of POKER  Circuit stop here at the Horseshoe in Hammond, Indiana!

Today marks the second of three starting flights and with the weekend upon us, a huge turnout is expected for both remaining Day 1s.

Cards will be in the air at 11:00am with players scheduled to play through the completion of 17 levels or when just 16% of the field remains, whichever comes first. Players will not bag in the money as the bubble is expected to burst very early on Day 2.

The defending champion of this event is David Schonback who was able to take down the ring, $282,725 in prize money and a seat to last year’s Tournament of Champions which is an added BONUS that the eventual champion will again enjoy.

Here are the important details for this event:

40,000 in tournament chips 40-minute levels on Day 1, 60-minute levels on Day 2 One re-entry per flight until registration closes at the start of Level 13 Day 1 ends either at the end of Level 17 or when 16% of the field remains, whichever comes first Day 1c: Saturday, March 9th at 11am Day 2:  Sunday, March 10th 3rd at 11am Day 3: Monday, March 11th at 12pm 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 9
