Srikanth Pundela Bags the Day 1B Chip Lead

The second of three starting flights in Event #11: $1,700 Main Event has come to a close after 17 full levels of play.

The day brought in 356 entries and put $539,340 into the prize pool, bringing the total prize pool for the event to over $880,000 with a full Saturday still left to play out.

Bagging the chip lead for the day was Srikanth Pundela, the only player to close the day out on over a million, as he put 1,091,000 into the bag for Day 2. Shahab Shirazi, who bagged 898,000, was leading most of the last few levels of the day but was surpassed late by Pundela to bag second biggest.

Rounding out the top three counts for the day is Alfred Gillette who will come back to 739,000 when the Day 2 session gets underway.

Day 2 will get underway Sunday, March 24th at noon with all remaining players from all three flights merging.
