Sanh Vuong Wins Event #5 For $13,396

Sanh Vuong had been knocking on the door in this series with three final table appearances already in the first five events and late on Monday night he kicked that door down to win his first ring in the 6-Max  event after about 12 hours of play.

“Yes! Yes!” he exclaimed after the last hand was dealt with his winning a of Diamonds, a of Spade, showing proudly as the championship hand. “It’s my first ring!’ he repeated a few times in excitement.

Vuong finished 9th in Event #2 and 3rd in Event #1, which made finishing on top all the more sweeter this time around. Those three solid results with the ring put him as the early leader for player of the series here in Tunica.

The 70-year old Cordova,TN native said he had special plans for this ring as well.

“I am going to give it to my son. He is a police officer and likes to play POKER also. We used to play together when he was younger.”
