Ruben Goes For Back to Back; Soskin Leads On Final Day of Choctaw Main Event

The final eight is set and ready to go here here at the Choctaw Main Event at 12 noon.

The lineup is a fun one as the story going in is can Brad Ruben go back to back? Just two months ago in November, Ruben won this very Main Event after he defeated David “Lefty” Diaz heads up. Ruben is a four-time WSOP bracelet winner but had never win a ring before that. Can he pull off the extremely rare feat of back-to-back circuit Main Events? He starts the day right in the middle, 4th in chips. The chip leader is Davis Soskin who is going for his first career ring. The boisterous and talkative Soskin is sure to make for an entertaining final table today as he will begin the day as the big stack.

Chad Lousberg is the 2nd largest stack and is going for his 2nd career ring. Will Berry is the most accomplished circuit player at the table three rings to his name including a Main Event in Tulsa in 2017. He is also the most accomplished overall in terms of career earnings as he has over $2 million (vs Ruben’s $1.5 million). Jonathan Glendenning as nearly $700,000 in career earnings and is aiming for his first ring today.

Eric Bunch has one ring from Choctaw and will be going for his 2nd career one.

Brendon Kaufman and Alex Cruz aim for the largest scores of their careers as look to fight back as smaller stacks.

Final Table by seat:

1. Brendon Kaufman – 1,845,000 (15bb) – $24,560 WSOP earnings 2. Eric Bunch – 785,000 (6.5bb) – $500,101 earnings, 1 ring 3. Alex Cruz – 1,860,000 (15.5bb) – $29,660 earnings 4.
