Players Return to Battle in the Main Event at 12 p.m.

 

Three flights have come and gone in Event #16: $1,700 No Limit Holdem Main Event! A total of 669 players made their way to the Horseshoe Las Vegas to compete for a coveted World Series of POKER Main Event Ring. That was then narrowed down to a total of 131 players that bagged one of the three flights and will return today to take the next step in the process of winning a WSOP circuit main. The players are not yet in the money, but after the official breakdown of the $1,013,535 prize pool is announced on Day 2 the players will be off to the races and playing all the way down to a final table which will resume Tuesday at 12 p.m.

After the tallies were in on the three flights, its Nick Marchington from Flight 1a who holds the overall chip lead as the players enter Day 2. He is followed by Brock Wilson with 401,000 and John Longowa with 372,000 to fill out the podium at the moment. There are still a ton of other players outside the top 10 that will have plenty of skill and more than enough chips to make waves before the day ends.

The prize pool breakdown will be announced at the start of the day so players can see how close they are to the bubble and how close they are to a top prize that could be almost $200k!
