Players Have Bagged for Day 2 in Flight 1b of the Main Event!

The second of three starting flights in the $1,700 Main Event here at Horseshoe Hammond has come to a close after the field was boiled down to 49 players with 36:09 remaining in Level 15 (3,000/6,000/6,000).

The day brought in a lot of notable names and local grinders who all showed up with the same goal; winning a WSOP Circuit Main Event ring. The bulk of the field would ultimately fall short of that goal, but a handful of the 49 remaining players put themselves in fantastic position to work their way to the Day 3 session.

Bagging the biggest stack of the flight was Duane Graff who will carry 593,000 into Day 2. Landing just behind him with 590,000 is Michael Vanderwoude who ended the day on 590,000. Rounding out a very condense top 3 counts is Trace Henderson who will take a seat behind 586,000 when Day 2 rolls around.

Today’s field came together to generate $457,530 in prize money. Add that to the money brought in on Day 1a and you get a current current prize pool totaling $745,380. The Saturday Day 1c session is expected to be the biggest starting flight by far, meaning that when the dust settles, the prize pool is likely to absolutely decimate the advertised $1,000,000 guarantee.

Tomorrow’s flight will kick off at 11:00am and just like the previous two flights, will be scheduled to play through the completion of Level 17 or when just 16% of the field remains in play.

Day 2 will begin on Sunday, March 10th at 11:00am when all flights will merge to begin the real work of playing down to a champion. Player chip counts and Day 2 seat draws will be posted shortly and updates will be live until the completion of the event both here and over on instant.
