Michael Estes Leads After Day 1B of Main Event

Day 1B of the Main Event gained 190 new entries and ended with 23 remaining players.

Michael Estes (pictured) bagged up the chip lead with a huge stack of 816,000. He amassed his heaps late in the night as he started to emerge as chip leader after the close of registration. Estes is no stranger to deep runs here in Grand Victoria as he won the Monster Stack event here last series in November.

Coincidentally, another ring winner from last Grand Victoria series finished just behind him in second place with 795,000. Shane Thorne, who won Event #2 in November for a smidge over a six-figure mark.

Another ring winner at this stop to find a bag was Imran Sajwani (260,000) who went back to back in Event #1 in November and earlier this series.

Some other notable players to advance to Day 2 included; Brett Reichard (375,000), Rob Wazwaz (232,000) and Aaron Massey (176,000).

The 23 players will go on to Day 2 on Sunday at Noon and join with the 21 from Day 1B as well as those who advance in the last opening flight of Day 1C which starts on Saturday at 11 a.m.
