Lozada Leads After Day 1C

Day 1C of the Grand Victoria Main Event boasted 282 entries and ended with 29 as it was the only flight to reach the 10% hard stop, doing so toward the end of Level 17.

Josh Lozada (pictured) of nearby Oswego bagged the chip lead with 841,000. He was spotted with a large stack in the last couple of levels as he went on a tear, eliminating several players. He edged out Mousa Haddad by just 10,000 for pole position heading into Day 2.

Daniel Aloia was 3rd with over 100,000 less with 710,000 and Chris Bucceri (686,000) and Joe Batterman (666,000 rounded out the top five counts of the surviving 29 players.

Other notables such as Angela Gambino, Caleb King, Dylan Wilkerson, Angela Jordison and Scott Bohlman found their way to Day 2 as well.

The 29 players will join the 44 combined from the previous two flights to make for 73 players returning on Day 2, which is Sunday at Noon.

PokerOrg will be ramping up the coverage for Day 2, which will include chip count updates, hands, pics, videos and more.
