Guillermo De La Vega Wins Event #3 for $21,889

In about 9 hours of play in Event #3, Guillermo De La Vega of Mexico City captured his 2nd career ring and a spot in the Tournament of Champions.

De La Vega entered the final table with the chip lead and held it for much of the final table as the swings of the turbo format. He lost the chip lead only briefly at four-handed play but was able to wrestle in back and finish it off in a quick 20 minutes from four-handed to heads-up which he closed out in just a couple of hands.

“This is my lucky dollar!” said De La Vega with a smile afterwards as he held up a $1 dollar bill that he had found on the ground earlier in the day in the POKER room. His excitement was palpable after the final hand as he proudly held up his new ring to add to his career haul, pairing it with his first career ring which came in Los Angeles back in December of 2022.
